Barcelona has a long maritime history that dates
back to the 15th century. It is therefore not surprising that
the city has become the principal cruise port for Mediterranean
cruises. Because Barcelona is an excellent "walking city"
and has much to offers visitorsin terms of history, culture,
architecture and food, the city is also an important port of call for
cruises originating in other European cities.
